About Vayu Music

Sunil Belwal, founder & CEO of Vayu Music Institute, has over 29 years of experience in the music industry. His musical journey began at the young age of five, under the guidance of his father, C. S. Belwal, a master of classical and folk music.

Sunil pursued formal music education at the Trinity College of London, where he completed Grade 8 in Classical Piano. He received advanced training from his guru, Jubeen Khan, and Jubeen Khan's son, Robin. He also achieved Grade 6 in Rock and Pop Guitar and Grade 8 in Electronic Keyboards from Trinity College London. He also earned a Prabhakar in Classical Music (Guitar) from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.

Over the years, Sunil has collaborated with several renowned Bollywood playback singers, performing as a keyboardist and guitarist. His versatile musicianship has featured in more than 1000 songs across various regional languages.

In 2004, Sunil co-founded his Hindi pop band, Vayu, with Rakesh Bhanot. The band released its debut album, "Yehi Pyar Hai", in 2007 through T-Series. The album's music videos aired on Channel V, MTV, B4U Music, Music India, Zee Music, ETC Punjabi and MH1.

In 2006, Sunil established Vayu Music Institute, which today boasts a team of more than 12 dedicated teachers. Among them is his daughter, Unnati Belwal, who specializes in Western and K-pop vocal training and holds Grade 8 in Rock and Pop from Trinity College London. She was awarded first prize in the All-India K-pop Contest (Delhi Region).
